This photo album contains photographs taken by Maurice Hutton during his time with China Inland Mission in China.
It captures various aspects of the Black Miao community, including their daily life, wedding customs, farmhouses, graves, musical instruments, mountain villages, and farming practices. The album also showcases scenery in Chefoo, Changsha, Chenyuen, the Yuan River, the Western River and gorges.It also documents a Black Miao Christian Conference held in Panghai, Kweichow Province.
