Seals - 1, 1963-1973, undated
Scope and Contents
A wooden box contains twenty-five stone seals carved by Prof. Chow. The box is 4 x 16.5 x 12.75 inches in size. On the cover, Prof. Chow wrote the words “ 藝囚 ” and drew an orchid dated 1973. On the back of the front cover, Prof. Chow wrote a poem and prose entitled “ 印悔 ”, describing his love for seal carving, dated December 16, 1963. The box also contains two pamphlets on the paintings of Chung Chen Sun 鍾正山 and Lo Ch’ing 羅青, some 1986 and 1988 Chow family greeting letters, as well as a Chinese version of Tripiṭaka. Sūtrapiṭaka. Prajñāpāramitā. Hṛdaya, 般若波羅蜜多心經, of which the words are printed from forty-four seals.
