Prof. Wong and his wife, Dan Ying were Prof. Chow’s students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. They had established a very close relationship and the two families have kept in close contact ever since.

In the Papers, there are photographs of Prof. Wong, Prof. Chow and their families and friends. Some of these photographs were taken in the gatherings at Prof. Chow’s home.

Prof. Chow was a poet, calligrapher and renowned scholar in Dreams of the Red Chambers, Chinese language and literature. Prof. Wong and Dan Ying are poets too. Prof. Chow often shared his Chinese calligraphy, articles and essays with his correspondents. Chinese literature, especially Chinese poems was a frequent discussion topic in Prof. Chow’s correspondence.
