The first official history of the Hong Kong Baptist University “A History of the Hong Kong Baptist University” 《香港浸會大學校史》was published in 1996 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary and renaming as University. The Chief editor was Dr. Wong Yin-lee (黃嫣梨) of the Department of History and Mr. Fong Lai-lin (方禮年) as executive editor. With the assistance from College’s Information and Public Relations office, President’ Office, Secretariat and other departments and offices, they collected pertinent information and historical documents of the College include interviews transcripts, correspondences, clippings and records. They also searched through the Government Archives for historical materials.
