Scope and Contents
This series contains manuscripts of the proposed Constitution of the Hong Kong Baptist College and the proposed Ordinance to incorporate the members of Hong Kong Baptist College. Several copies of the Constitution printed in 1970 and 1980, as well as the Hong Kong Baptist College Ordinance (Chapter 1126. Laws of Hong Kong enacted 11 August 1983 and amended by Ordinance No. 40 of 1988) can be found in this series. There are letters about the establishment of HKBC. Submission of constitution is part of the preparation for registration under the 1960 Ordinance. The correspondence with the New Asia College on drafting HKBC's constitution showed the relationship between the colleges.
The files are arranged chronologically. The color cover of the Ordinance fades, but two printed sheets showing its original color cover are provided by the Archivist and attached to the Ordinance for reference.
