Scope and Contents
This series contains materials related to academic affairs of various departments and programs at Hong Kong Baptist College. The records cover a wide range of topics, such as the course development and administration, education policy, review of sixth-form education and International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, the provision of social services, closure of Civil Engineering Department, and the transition from the Division of Extramural Studies to the Division of Continuing Education.
Additionally, this series documents HKBC's accreditation process that provide insights into the challenges HKBC faced and the efforts it made to achieve college status recognition. The materials include the self-study reports, the influence of the Government White Paper on Senior Secondary and Tertiary Education in 1978, and HKBC's preparation for the CNAA validation visits, and so on.
Moreover, there are materials about the selection of external examiners for different departments, reports by external examiners, course outlines, curriculum proposals, terms of reference for committees, meeting minutes, and correspondence about nominations and appointments of committee members.
