Scope and Contents
Daniel Tse was the President of Baptist Convention of Hong Kong as well as Executive Member of Baptist Oi Kwan Social Services. This folder mainly contains correspondence with various directors as well as other staff of the Hong Kong Government, Social Welfare Department about matters related to the provision of social services, e.g. site grant for Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service, staffing of Oi Kwan, construction of Tang Shiu Kin Social Service Centre, rent and rates subsidy for Shun Tin Children and Youth Centre, home for the elderly, assistance to the handicapped, etc.
It also contains correspondence about accreditation of HKBC’s social work programs, fieldwork placements for the College’s students, salary scales for the social work graduates, application for Social Work Training Fund, and other related matters.
Some correspondence related to the Association of Southeast Asia Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL) and a draft of a promotional leaflet for Secretarial Management Society are also put in this folder.
