Hong Kong Council of Social Welfare: Membership and status of HKBC's social work program, 1970 - 1977
Scope and Contents
This folder includes memoranda, correspondence and reports related to HKBC's membership in the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (香港社會服務聯會) since 1972.
It also contains a thank-you letter from Daniel Tse to the Hong Kong Social Workers' Association (香港社會工作人員協會), dated April 1973, for their support of HKBC social work graduates and training programs. Discussions on whether HKBC graduates should be granted membership to the HK Social Workers' Association are also included.
In addition, the folder covers a conversation between Mr. Y.F. Hui and Dr. Tse regarding concerns expressed during a council meeting about the status of HKBC's social work program. The topic was discussed with a pessimistic view, particularly due to the resignation of department heads Dr. Chung and Mrs. Locke.
